Hi all!

I've been MIA for a few months due to uni and picking up a xmas casual position at a certain cosmetic counter!

I missed blogging and thought I'd try to get back into it, and what better way than food?

I recently had the Kobe Jones Luxury course at Kobe Jones (duh). I was slightly worried after reading all the negative reviews on eatability regarding the service (or lack thereof) but I was pleasantly surprised! The waitress looking after our table was somewhat indifferent in the beginning but really warmed up and was very pleasant throughout our meal. Excuse the picture quality - still in the process of purchasing a drsl:(. Descriptions taken from Kobe Jones website.

NUMBER ONE SPECIAL - crab salad with avocado wrapped in Hiramasa
kingfish and baked with our secret sauce

This was probably my favourite dish - i went straight to munching before realising I hadn't taken a photo!

SUSHI PLATTER - chef’s selection of our finest nigiri and rolls

ANAGO SCALLOPS - tempura Hokkaido scallops stuffed with crab salad and asparagus, drizzled with a bittersweet soy sauce glaze

SEAFOOD POKE - Hawaiian style sashimi cubes marinated in poke sauce

HAWAIIAN ROLL - prawns, cucumber, burdock root and pineapple chilli jam topped with tuna and avocado and drizzled with poke sauce

I couldn't stomach this dish as the chilli jam was too hot, although admittedly I don't take spiciness too well.

WAGYU TENDERLOIN TATAKI - seared and chilled, served rare with garlic, ginger and ponzu sauce

This was a standout too - the meat was very tender.

VOLCANO ROLL - oven baked scallops layered on a crab salad and avocado roll, with our special cream sauce and a sesame seed and shallot sprinkle

The cream sauce was delicious and perfect with the scallops, though it became a bit overkill as the sushi was drenched in it.

MISO CITRUS LOBSTER TAIL - grilled green lobster tail served in a miso citrus sauce on a bed of steamed vegetables and wafu thermidor sauce

WAGYU HOT ROCK - self-cook your wagyu just the way you like it, served with seasoning and two dipping sauces

AMA OZEN - Kobe Jones’s famous selection of dessert samplers with our trademark chocolate chopsticks

I had high hopes for this but was a bit disappointed, or maybe I was just too full at this point!

Overall it was quite an enjoyable experience with good company. The view was excellent as was the decor. I can't wait to go back again but probably won't order the 10 meal course again as I was way too full by the end.

Okay, I'm a horrible blogger I know, but.. but.. but.... yeh.. the usual excuses...

I love Ralph Lauren shoes, they're very reasonably priced and the quality is great. So as you would, I had high hopes for this pretty pair. I love the colour, the fit is great as is the comfort, but what I didn't realise was how slippery the sole was! I ended up slipping down a flight of stairs and knocking a huge bruise onto my wrist. Yet they're so gorgeous I can't stay angry at them and throw them out.

Hi all!

Wow, it's almost been 3 months since my last post! I've been so consumed by uni work and felt like I've lost the blogging mojo, but here I am, back again.

Now, am I the only one who isn't caught in the wave of Inception-is-the-best-movie-ever virus that's plagued 99.9% of my friends? Sure the concept is interesting and the plot kept me tensed for the majority of the movie, but I do not understand why many make it out to be a complete mindf*ck? Don't get me wrong, it's a good movie, just not one of the best, in my opinion at least. Perhaps my expectations were too high after hearing so many raves about it. Toy Story 3 on the other hand... ♥

Spring, Spring oh wherefore art thou? I'm so sick of looking like balloon with 10 layers of clothing. The weather's finally warming up, please let it stay that way! I received this dress the other day, I really like it - it reminds me of the Lover Disciple Dress which I regret not getting when it was still in stores, and so when I saw this dress (and its price) I knew I had to have it!

Even though the last few days was meant to be a "break", I got barely any, if any. It was all about catching up a few weeks worth of readings - my punishment for being lazy i guess (thought we never learn do we?), with the exception of catching up with some awesome friends!

I love this skirt, but the waistband is way too big; tagged as a size 8 yet I'm definitely not a small 8 if an 8 at all. What's up with vanity sizing these days, I swear they're getting worse as the seasons go by!

Oh wow, it's been almost a month since my last post!

I've been so busy now that I've transferred to a certain combined degree and hence feeling very drained!

With the weather cooling down, I've been stocking up on some winter gears, but I'm still on the outlook for thick stockings with cute patterms - any suggestions?

I can finally pull out all my new cardigans now thanks to the windy days!

I haven't stopped wearing this scarf since I received it, rose print + silk = love! Excuse the lousy knot - I don't have superior scarf tying skills like MaiTai, although I got to say, if I have all her gorgeous Hermes scarves, I'd spend the rest of my life perfecting "scarf tying".

This entire outfit is from a Korean wholesale website called Zipia. The prices are very reasonable and they have some nice pieces, although the setbacks are that you have to order $300 worth per order and the clothe sizes are tiny! I'm an AUS8-10 and according to the measurements only about 20-30% of them would fit me! Boo hiss.

A whole day of window shopping with E today, took lot's of photos - makes me want a DSLR now! The picture quality is just, so much clearer, sharper... and better in general.

I think I'm beginning to have an obsession with over-the-knee boots, I've already acquired 2 pairs and looking for a third. I'll probably decide between this pair of Tony Biancos or the Britany from Topshop.

Apologies for the weird pose but the dress covered the top of the boots. I think they elongate my legs but E thinks it's all in my head=(

We tried on this gorgeous White Suede tuxedo blazer. However since I've just purchased one from Cue recently, I'm going to exercise great *cough* self-control and hold out for a while!

Although I think E looked a lot "cooler" in it than I did!

I just realised how pink I looked today! The dress and bag was part of a massive order I did from yesstyle.com. The pink bag is cute, but it is too similar to Chanel 2.55 reissue for my liking.

Zac Posen is doing a collaboration is Target US, and to be honest I like it a lot better than the Australian one. The lookbook is here. This dress is probably my favourite from the collection, but I have no idea where I'll wear it to!

I met up with L yesterday - poor girl had a minor surgery and couldn't leave the house for a month or so - as well as E, J, etc! It was so lovely to catch up and I can't wait till she's well enough to get back into basketball with us again.

Do I hear something? Excuse the pose!

I found this blouse at the Incu sale last year and fell in love with the little quirks that set it apart from other blouses I own - little frills that puff up the sleeves and the fabric is embroidered with little flower embroideries. So imagine how upset I was when I found it was put in the wash with a black dress and there were patches of black stain all over it! I had to rewash it about 5 times to get the dye out!

Happy Australia Day!

I decided to brave the heat today and accompany my parents to the city to have a quick peek at what was happening at Darling Harbour. The good thing? I got to drive! First time driving to a city, a little intimidating, but pretty satisfying nevertheless!

The heat was overbearing so we had some iced chocolate and delices at Lindt cafe, yum!

Lots and lots of people everywhere! I saw some kids with a little plastic gun that shoots out a bunch of soap bubbles - and I really really wanted one!

Do you know the moment of epiphany where you suddenly realise in the past two days you've somehow spent your week's paycheck? And then you say, oh but there's this pair of heels that I really want that's going to be on sale for one day only tomorrow... *slowly whips out credit card* I'm sure you've all been there and done that;) One thing I love about January is the further xx% sales (so so much better than Boxing Day), and the thing I don't is coming home with an empty wallet.

My favourite purchase would have to be this Ruffle Sleeve dress from Country Road, for, 50 dollars! I went back today to purchase the black version and another for mum, but they were all gone from the rack:(

Speaking of Country Road, I really really want these babies from their Jan 2010 collection. I think they'll be perfect for both uni (thanks to the flat sole) and going out. *Drools*

Sorry for the lack of posts recently! I think my computer's video card is fried and I haven't had to fix it so I can't access any of my pictures!:(

I've recently bought none-slip soles and stuck them onto the bottom of all shoes that are remotely slippery. Although they aren't too expensive at about $10 a pop, when you do about 10 pairs they start to add up! Why did I bother? Well, walking out of a lecture hall last semester down a set of stone stairs and wearing a pair of Robert Robert boots which I adore (apart from this incident), I turned around to speak to a friend only to slip down a step and fly towards the ground in front of a crowd waiting to go into the next lecture. Luckily I managed to reach out and grab a nearby railing before smashing into it full force with my knees - at least it saved me from a face plant in the concrete! It was so horrifyingly painful not to mention embarrassing. The thumb-sized scar on my left knee is therefore constantly reminding me to buy more of those soles and to resole any old, worn-out shoes! So learn from my mistake and go do the same to your shoes! Although I got to say, when they charge $400RRP for a pair of boots, you'd expect them to use leather or rubber soles...

Why yesterday was a horrible day:
- There was no ice cream in the fridge
- So I hopped over to woolies, and on the way, a bird decided to excrete on my leg
- Playing basketball at night, I stepped on a girl's foot and sprained me ankle. Now usually when I roll my ankle, it goes back to normal within an hour, but almost a day later, it's swollen and I'm hobbling.
FML moments.

I received a few gargeous Essie polishes as part of a KK present, and this colour, St. Lucia Lilac, was my favourite! Excuse the smudges - I should really invest in a quick dry top coat!

I'm so glad I sized down because the fit is perfect! This blazer is quite thin so it'll be great for these random chilly summer days.

I love stockings and how they suck in the lumps and bumps, but a few drinks laters, they're not too comfortable anymore! Hence I decided to try out Leona Edminston stay-ups, and so far so good.

I've read so many reviews that said "a little goes a long way" and finally understood what that meant when I tried these out. You literally need a pen-point sized ball of product and that's more than enough for your entire lip! I love how versatile these lip tars are - you can mix them with each other or layer under existing lipsticks, and the lasting power is quite good too. However, it can get a bit dry, and my main gripe with this is trying to find a little airtight container to store mixtures of colours in.

OCC seemed to have downsized their lip tars from 10ml to 8ml, but since you need so little product everytime, I guess it doesn't make that much of a difference.

Thursday night was TSA cruise on this gorgeous boat - the main reason why I decided to go.

A bit boring to begin with, but all in all, a fun night I suppose. A big thanks to a few people - you know who you are!

I met up with lovely J whom I met through Vogue and we went nail polish shopping at that shop.
We felt like children in a lollyshop (well at least I did!) and after much painful self-control, we made our purchases! I got a bottle of Orly top+bottom coat, China Glaze's Fairy Dust, Blk-Bila-Bong, Red Essence, and Lubu Heels - fine red glitter over a black base, which I LOVE the look of, with the inspiration from Christian Louboutin’s sig nature red sole!

I then headed to Myer where I finally satisfied my craving for coloured tights - got a red and a purple pair, a basic black Pleasure State bra, and a purple facinator for Monique and Monica's birthday cruise next week!

A lovely girl CPed me Cute-ster, which was meant to be K's 18th birthday present, but I couldn't get it in time. The question now is whether to keep it or sell it!

Hopefully I can drop by MAC tomorrow and have a look at the collection in person. I'm tempted by these lashes,
which is somewhat reasonable at about $18. I had been eyeing the Beauty Powders for a while now and just can't bring my to spend $100+ for something that will hardly show up on my skin. But the compacts are so gorgeous... Decisions decisions!

Swatch and quick comparison of Blonde and Redhead MSF

So this might be a little late for B who needs this, but anyways,

- Blonde MSF is my preferred one out of the two - gives your cheeks a pink glow.
- Redhead MSF is not peach but more like orange-y bronze. However, I think there's too pink tones in it for it to be used as a bronzer.
- Blonde MSF is more pigmented than the Redhead one, the Blonde swatch required only one swipe whilst the Redhead one was done at least twice.
- For some reason it looks rather chalky in the no flash picture - this is not the case.
- So overall I think these are really gorgeous, HOWEVER, after two days of continuous use, a pimple appeared on my cheek- I never get pimples there. I'm hoping it's not the MSFs. I'll test it for a few more days.

From the top of my head... (my memory is getting worse at the age of 18, how pitiful.)
15/01- Watched Madagascar 2 with some lovelies, hobbled around the city from the blisters my new heels gave me (seriously they seemed quite comfortable, I did not expect to get 6 huge blisters by the end of the day!), and K'd for a while too.
19/01- Gambling at Donna's house with Emily, Lisa and Cath. Met up with Jacky in the afternoon and she gave me some goodies she bought me from HK. LOVE YOU!!!

22/01- Continued raging about offers (long story). Had dinner at Kabow with Lisa, Jacky and Nicola.

I got woken up this morning by the door bell. Turned out it was the postie with an ASOS box! I got really worried when I saw how crushed up the box was (there's makeup in there!), so I quickly ripped it open, but luckily nothing was shattered. I'm just disappointed that they didn't bubble wrap any of the items, and the airbag they put on the top had deflated?!?!

Yes I'm aware I could've gotten these from work, but the thing was the TF palette had long sold out Australia wide when I decided I wanted it, and we don't stock these Korres gift packs which are great for presents! (If we did I'd go crazy over them, Korres colour range is awesome!)

I then ventured to that nail supply store people have been raving about, and I WISH I HAD DISCOVERED IT EARLIER! I had to exercise extreme self control to walk away with only 3 OPI polishes and a black nail art polish. They have quite a bit of OPI, China Glaze, Essie and Orly polishes, and although the most popular shades aren't available, the awesome price more than makes up for it! I'm afraid I'm going to get a nail polish addiction soon...

I absolutely LOVE Revolve. They stock heaps of quirky brands which Australia either doesn't have or sell for an outrageous price. Plus their sales are awesome, I purchased these three items for less than the original price of the cheapest one - how awesome is that!

I haven't been to DFO for at least a year now, and thought I'd visit today. I had an hour (literally) to browse through a few shops. Oroton had all bags for $195 or under, I had my eyes on one, but I controlled myself(!) Also tried on a tuxedo waistcoat in CUE - it looked so good (if I may so myself), but it wasn't on sale and I wasn't prepared to spend $150+ on a piece of clothing which I'd only wear once-twice in uni. Nevertheless, I managed to end up with a few purchases, most of which weren't for myself!

The comeback.

Yes, I'm well aware that I haven't blogged for almost a month. Work had took up a big part of my life for the past few weeks, I'm doing 4-6 days a week, so even when I do have a day off I'm too tired to leave the house. But it's nevertheless great because I'm actually enjoying what I'm doing whilst getting paid for it. It's just a shame that it'll come to an end soon.

A quick run-down of my life during this period thanks to photos...
13/12 - After this day and its events I realised I don't like clubbing. Which is a good thing I suppose.
25/12 - Christmas lunch with my loves at Bicentennial Park. It was all good except for the fact that all of us got sunburnt. Worst sunburn EVER. Taught me never to leave the house without sunscreen again.
26/12 - Boxing day sales. I wasn't going to go, but got persuaded. Bumped into Cyndi in Myer; her tomato red face cracked me up. Sales were pretty bad as I had expected, I only walked away with a bra, undie and Calvin Klein perfume set.
28/12 - Crashed Emily's house with about 10 other people. Played mah jong and poker for the whole day with KFC sometime in between. We then made egg tarts and exercised on her treadmill/bike.
31/12 - Ran to Oliver's 18th birthday dinner after work, ate at Golden Harbour in Chinatown, met up with Sam and other people, bought alcohol, insert 15-30min periods of undecision in between, and finally got to Lavender Park at Milson's Point at 11pm. Go figure since we left the restaurant at 8.30. The night passed until the girls all felt the urgency to pee, except the toilet lines were HUGE. Most succumbed to relieving in the bushes, but Kerry and I refused to, so we walked around a nearby hotel and ran in a door where there were no security guards. Relatively clean toilets. Mmm. Watched the fireworks; I thought it was pretty average, but apparently it was an awesome view from Darling Harbour. Headed off to Jeff's house afterwards, fighting crowds of rude, pushy people. People drank, people threw up, people passed out, people went hysterical etc. I left nearly next morning and got home at 9am. I felt like a fkn tb again. For shame.
02/01 - Sam turned 18 and we celebrated by going to Jamberoo! Jess drove Cyndi and I, alongside with two other cars - she's so nice for driving two complete strangers! It was so fun apart from the slightly cold weather. We were intrigued by Sam's slim and feminine albeit hairy legs, and he screamed higher than a girl in the Taipan. Funny shit. We ate overpriced fish and chip for lunch, and had a hard but delicious birthday cake. Ben tried to cake him, but FAIL. I loved the fake beach with the fake waves. So fun. Finished the day with racing cars and then drove to Wollongong RSL club for dinner.
05/01 - Sam's 2nd birthday thing for those who dogged him few days earlier. Lunch at Pepper Lunch, went K, amused by Nicola (an anal and conservative girl) singing JT's Sexy Back (I'll let you whip me if I misbehave...), Alin's amazing voice, and Ben's utter inability to sing. (Kidding) Went home pretty early yet still felt tired. And I've got work again tomorrow...

There, my lack of social life for the past month. Life is pretty damn boring at the moment, but hopefully it'll get better when uni starts!

Thoughts, and the materialistic.

Although HSC is over and I should be having the time of my life, it somehow just doesn't feel that way. Sure I'm enjoying myself out and about everyday, coming home at ridiculous hours and effectively pissing the folks off, but this "fun" is so temporary that one day later I had already forgotten what I did the day before. I feel like I'm wasting my life away, and I feel like I need to do something but I have no idea what it is.

On a different and more optimistic note, yours sincerely has landed herself a job at a particular cosmetics and skin care counter in Myer! I'm so excited!

Withering Smaragdos.

When procrastinating during the HSC period, I often turned to makeup for some form of entertainment. This is one of the looks I came up with using MAC Royal Assets Warm Eyes palette. I called it Withering Smaragdos because of the dark green hues (Smaragdos meaning emerald in Greek - a neither creative nor attractive name I know).

Went to get my camera fixed on Monday in Chatswood; no thanks to whereis which made me walk in a circle, and then in the wrong direction - although some people who I ranted to insisted that I copied down the directions wrong. I'll hear back from them tomorrow as to whether it can be fixed, but fingers crossed they can!

Tuesday was meant to be my "rest" day, but decided to go watch a movie with the free Hoyts ticket I had with a big group of people. We watched Dying Breed, quite gory but wasn't really good, and like a review I had read about it, I'm sure the Tasmanian tourism industry won't be liking it!

Today would've been a nice day at home had I not been asked by Jenny to do her makeup for SBHS formal ! I tried two looks on her, and she ended up picking a subtle greenish smoky eye - similar to the one I posted above but more toned down. It went pretty successfully I think, except for the trouble I had with false eyelashes; I think it's suffice to say that both of us will be hating it for a while!

Looking back, the last few weeks had been nothing more that just a blur - lots of procrastination, V, and attempts to study as well as a need to release "anger".

Nevertheless there was always the fun part, and the main highlights that I remember being Jiang and Emily Thai's birthdays.

Jenny's 18th where the theme was "pink"

Emily's birthday which consisted of food, food, and more food!

But I'm just really glad it is all over!

Immediate post-HSC celebration consisted merely of indulging in gelato with J and N and then shopping in city, and looking for a new foundation; but after only 3 hours of walking, boy my legs are aching!

A list of things I need to do are,
- Bin/bonfire notes that are no longer needed.
- Sell textbooks
- Find a job
- Clean up
- Clear out wardrobe and sell unnecessary clothes+shoes+makeup
......

The end is coming.

In four days, yours sincerely will be graduating from high school. It will be a bittersweet moment, I'm sure. On the one hand there is the freedom, on the other, you realise your childhood is well and truly over, and you'll miss those you've grown close to.

Whilst there were moments (or years) in the past six years which I hope could be erased or re-lived, it was nevertheless an invaluable period of my life which had shaped who I am now.

I've made friends, lost friends, but I know the most valuables one to me are those who are there for me when I'm at my weakest.

I know I sound incredibly cliche, but hey, it's true.

I hope my tears will control themselves at graduation.

Sydney High, we'll miss you...

After graduation assembly and following the October holidays will be the eminent HSC. In this light then, from today my social life(except for two "special" birthdays), my access to the internet and by extension my posting will be on hiatus .

Finally, I would like to wish all my fellow o8'ers good luck for their upcoming exams.

Someone requested for something more me and more opinionated, so here goes, fashion grrs!

1) The infamous legging-worn-as-pants-epidemic. Why have people not realised after so long that leggings made of spandex/lycra/jersey material that show off your VPL and every single bump is not considered as pants? I mean to the supermarket or the gym is fine for the sake of comfort, but really, I don't want to see you strut in front of me with a midriff top and tights, neither do I want to see you walking towards me with a camel toe and/or polterwang. If you won't wear that top/dress with bare legs, than don't wear it with leggings! Nevertheless, a worser trend has risen, sheer STOCKINGS worn as pants. I think this is self explanatory.

2) Pants/jeans that sit half way down your buttocks. I do not want to see your bum cleavage or your bum cheeks squeezed together, or your lacy g-string, and neither do I want to see your granny undies. Stop raping my eyes.

3) I dislike the Guess bags that have massive bling blings and monograms scribbled all over. I think they look cheap and tacky, but each to their own I guess. However, I can't comprehend the need for fake Guess bags?

4) Ugg boots in public. Leave them at home.

Assessment three is over, yay. No more overdosing on V, running out of Berocca supply, living on four hours of sleep a day, etc etc. I thought I had learnt my lessons before on not cramming, but I guess not. Anyways, I swear retail therapy had helped me survive through this period, so here goes!

- Ralph Lauren cream wool blazer. This is one of my best purchases (and best bargain) EVER, I was scared the colour was going to look a bit "pimpy" (think casinos) but fortunately it doesn't, and because it's a bit big, it doubles as a coat!
- I've always wanted to go op-shopping but never actually bothered. Someone told me op shops in Campsie were pretty good, and I think they're right! After sorting through racks of junk, I found this blouse -100% silk and looks hardly worn! I also found this lacy Victorian style wedding dress which I was thinking of turning into a knee length dress. I didn't go back for it because Emily begged not to and that it was the ugliest thing she'd ever seen - she manages to turn me off alot of things.
- This looks like a shapeless sack here, but it's really cute. I've been looking everywhere for a nice pussy bow blouse, and whilst the fit is a bit weird, this'll have to made do.
- I think I'm starting to get into mineral makeup, 1) it's not bad for your skin, 2) it's quite cheap and works just as well as mid-high end brands. This lot of pigment samples are from Pure Luxe, whilst a few are a bit sheer, when applied foiled I think the quality is comparable to MAC. I'm now thinking of trying Archetype, Taylor Made, and maybe some mica and other things from Coastal Scents to mix and make my own shadows! If anyone wants to just get a few samples let me know:)

I was so surprised when my mum insisted that I get this. (!) This woolen blazer is from the Zac Posen for Target range, I had eyed it when it was first released but didn't want to pay full price when these ranges are usually heavily reduced a few weeks later, so I was glad I could get this for less than half price. I loved how it looked a little bit Elizabethan/Victorian (lol) with the pockets and at the back, and mum loved how it cinched at the waist, so needless to say, it became a sort of after-exam present.

Thought I'd catch up on sleep yesterday/today so I slept for 14 hours till 4pm, when I was meant to get up before 12 to list a few things on Ebay because I'm so damn pov right now. AND I want these Valerie Tolosa dresses. AND I need to pay for my jersey (long overdue).

Never thought a 3u math exam can leave one so depressed, and what makes it worse, is that whilst whining to the person behind you afterwards, you forget that your glasses are still under the table and walk off without it. Hope someone found it and handed it in, only had it for 6 months dammit.

One more week and I'm free - for another 2 months. My birthday is almost in a month, but I can't bring myself to be excited because if you think about it negatively, it's one month closer to trials, shit.

And yay my urban outfitter order arrived just before the exams, but boo to the mail forwarding service I used, so unprofessional and dishonest, definitely won't be using them again. Argh.

It's such a big collection and looks pretty good, although the Northern Hemisphere FW 08 collection is simply amazing. I'm especially loving, no. 2, 9, 16, 22, 39, 54 and 57. Bleh, I'd be lucky if I can afford just one of them. Most of the dresses are in the $600-$700 range.

*Sigh*.

P.S. Apparently there will be no DFEE anymore for law, which hopefully means that the cut-off for combined law will be lowered this year!

As you may all know, I may be no environment freak, but I think this is an important issue that needs to be addressed in our society that has such an emphasis on capitalism. And it's not just just all about the environment and the consumption of finite natural resources, but there's also a range of hidden concerns such as exploitation, health hazards, propaganda, and so forth.

Over the last year, I've realised how fashion trends are circular (as outlined in the video with the wide/skinny heels), and more that probably to create fads and encourage spending. Hence, I've been trying to invest in classic designs and good, natural fabrics; yes, trying to phase out any acrylic /rayon/polyester crap which which isn't exactly good for you and causes pollution. But yes I know, I'm still sucked in by this whole commodity fetishism, it's so powerful because it's all around us. But I'm trying!!! The funny thing is, these issues have all been mentioned by Karl Marx over a hundred years ago. Hmm...

I've been so stressed lately and thus very whine-y, so here goes..=) My first rant is about makeup, usually with what I see at school, and funny how it's always those grades below mine..

1) You do not need a full face makeup at school, that is, caked on foundation, half a pan of blush, bronzers that makes you look like an Oompa Loompa, thick black eyeliner around the whole of your eye, so much mascara that your lashes clump into one, and to top it off, eyeshadow. A tinted moisturiser/mascara/liner is more than sufficient, or if really necessary, then a thin layer of foundation/blush.
2) If you do decide to cake on your foundation, then at least get the right shade use a little bit of blush; I see too many that look like sick ghosts.
3) If you're obsessed with blush and insist on overblushing at school, then at least blend, PLEASE? I've seen some girls do it and it does look pretty good and help to contour their faces, but... Yesterday morning, I saw a girl and literally barfed when I walked past. Her skin was quite fair and she had two diagonal dark orange stripes across her cheekbone, and for a second, I thought it was some sort of tribal face painting. Seriously, if you don't have the time to blend it in, then either use a light hand or not use it at all?
4) Dark eyeshadows over your entire lids are unnecessary for school unless you're doing a play/dance.
5) Foundations don't cover big red pimples, there's something called a concealer.
6) Why line your entire eye when it makes your eyes look like slits (I learnt this the hard way!).
7) Frost nudish lipglosses that are 5 shades lighter than your lips as just gross.

The only good thing about exams, is that you get the rest of the week off=] So I slept at 10.30 last night hoping to get 12hrs+ of sleep, only to be receive a call from stupid MALAY aka Wayne at midnight with an eco question==" I was half asleep so i think i confused him even more, and haha I forgot to mention that i crammed 2 topics in 2 days=P Anyhow, still managed 12 hrs of sleep! And a special good luck to Lisa for her last exam!!
